It all started when…

Phyllis Santone started Chocolate Concepts nearly 20 years ago in the basement of her home, when she combined her passion for chocolate with her motivation to help her daughter, Rita.

“I first started working with chocolate with my daughter, Rita and her friends. You see, Rita is a special daughter; she is cognitively challenged and any time spent with her is special. Now, more than two decades later I continue to learn, teach, create and unite families of cognitively challenged children and friends with our artisan Belgian chocolates.”

Through collaboration with Creating Alternatives, Chocolate Concepts provides the opportunity for adults with developmental disabilities to learn valuable work skills, while building meaningful relationships. In this mission, our customers are our partners. With your support and purchases, we are able to provide work placements, job opportunities, and employment skills training for our participants.
